The Inspiration That Started Our Journey

I believe this heart was drawn for me as a special sign of how love and compassion connects all of us.  On the morning of September 13, 2007, the thought crossed my mind of how nice it would be to be find the initiative to continue writing my first children's story, Heavenly Balloons.  The thought quickly passed and I went about my day.
*
Later that evening, while sitting outside Wild Oats and enjoying a cup of coffee with my husband, a man appeared and unexpectedly drew this heart with pink chalk on the sidewalk beside us.  Before the chalk touched the ground, I knew he was going to draw a heart because a heart has been my universal sign of faith, hope, and love.  I took the picture with my cell phone to share with others, but I was unable to send the picture to my email address or any other cell phone.  After several attempts, I stopped trying.  On November 24th, 2007, the picture arrived in my email box when I decided to build the web site.  For me, this photo symbolizes how great the gift of love really is.
