Windy and Zander Months Later

Back in April, I think, I was visiting a Baby Fair hosted by Babies R Us at Columbiana Centre in Columbia, SC.  I was drawn to the table where your balloons and books were featured.  I remember being compelled to make a purchase but decided against it due to the fact that I hadn't recently lost a loved one, and certainly that was not a future I expected at the time.  I started to chat with the young lady running the booth, I can't remember her name, and she explained to me a little about the book.  If I understood correctly her aunt, or another one of her relatives wrote it after a loss.  She was also selling personalized lullabye CDs, and after hearing the name of my future in the making son, Zander, said she had one right there that she had made one for another friend or relative who had a boy by that name.  I paid for the cd, ultimately lost the red balloon she had given me, and continued to live my life and feel my baby grow inside of me until June 13th.....that was the day my husband died in a fatal car accident....

I was 26wks pregnant with our first child, currently 29 1/2 weeks....The Sunday before my husband, Lee's, death we were sitting in church and I heard him sniffle.  Thinking that he was just suffering from allergies I didn't really think much of it.  Two days later he said to me, "Betcha didn't know I was crying in church on Sunday."  He said that the sermon had really gotten to him and that when our pastor had extended the invitation at the end of the service for anyone that had never known Jesus or just needed to reconnect with Him to open up their hearts and accept His love, grace and forgiveness, he did....He said at that moment he had the biggest chill up his spine and just felt the presence of God...That is how I know that the night my husband died, he'd only just began his eternal life with our Heavenly Father.  Last week I began to think about those balloons and that book and then I finally looked at the cd and saw the web address.  I'm sure I will be ordering some things and just wanted to thank you for having someone represent you at that baby fair and for taking the time to read a part of our story.
